Puppers for VRChat & Vtubing

Pupper! is a new avatar I created for VRChat and VTubing. Inspired by chibi characters, my goal was to design a cute dog avatar that works seamlessly on both PC and standalone Meta Quest.

The avatar includes:

• Full facial tracking in the VRM file (for VTubing).
• VRChat compatibility (PC + Quest).
• Multiple color variations, switchable via a radial menu (on the Quest version). You can also upload your own custom colors or re-texture it using Substance Painter.

For creators, I’ve included Photoshop files to help make textures for the Quest model. However, for the best results, I recommend using Substance Painter, as that’s how I textured the model originally. Please make sure you have Substance painter to texture the model.

Customization options include:

• Three tail styles: down, curly, or a tiny nub.
• Toggleable features: hair, hoodie, and shirt.
• Resizable ears and hair, adjustable through the VRChat toggle menu.

Has a boopable nose, you can pull the tail, ears and hair.

Requirements & Terms

• You will need basic Unity knowledge to upload and customize this avatar.
• For texturing, Substance Painter is required, along with familiarity in using it.
• Please do not share or redistribute this avatar for free. If someone you know wants a copy, direct them to this page so they can purchase it.
• You are welcome to take on custom re-color commissions using this base and the included Substance files, as long as the customer has purchased their own copy of the avatar first.

To get the best face tracking you will need (use this method if you do not plan to use your webcam as the main camera):

• Vseeface/Warudo
• Iphone (11 or above)
• IFacialMocap app or FaceMotion3D
• Why use this method over webcam? Since this avatar is rigged for ARkit it will detect more expressions using your iphone as the camera with one of the above apps connected through wifi to Vseeface on the pc. All the tracking that you see in the video has been done this way.

If you would like to customize the model to create your own texture you will need:

• Substance Painter (for re colors)
• Unity/Basic Knowledge of Unity
• VRM Unity add on

What comes with the package?

• VRM Files (All different textures ready to load into Vseeface) ARKit ready.
• Substance Painter File. You must have basic knowledge on how this application works to be able to re color.
• Expressions/Toggles included in this package: Neutral, Fun, Angry, Joy, Sorrow, Surprise, Eyebrows down, Eyebrows up, Claws toggle for on/off, Hair toggle on/off, Smolder, Tired, Shirt/Hoodie toggle on/off. Please watch the video to see all the toggles/expressions.
• Rigged for arm/hand/finger tracking

  • You can take re-color commissions using these
  • You are buying the VRC/VRM and Substance Painter file. This DOES NOT include the blender file.
  • If you are going to do re-colors for others please re direct them to my Gumroad to buy the model first and then you can provide the re color. Both you and the commissioner must have a bought copy of this package.
  • Please do not alter the mesh/remix and re-sell it. You can alter the mesh for your own purposes but please do not sell vtubing avatars with my original mesh.
  • Do not redistribute my files for free to anyone. Always re-direct them to my purchase page here on Gumroad.

  • Use them for videos, stream with them, have fun, and share  what you do with them :D
  • Understand I cannot give step by step instructions on how to do re colors/work with unity or blender. You should have a basic understanding on how Vseeface works & unity if you plan to do re colors.
